Not to often do I get inspired and actually sit down and digitally paint. I usually find myself drawing what I enjoy: Animals and Naruto. Being inspired by other artists helps tremendously. Honestly, I wasn't expecting this image to turn out as good as it did. I guess it is because I am not use to speedpainting, using screenshots as a references and go at it for thirty minutes.

Sketch Blog #14
I recently found an animal artist who is also a cartoonist from India. He goes by the name Toony from Greenhumor Blogs. I found his exaggerated animal forms and just loved it, so it got me into drawing more stylized like how he create them.
I have always loved Polar Bears. When I was at the Toronto Zoo with some friends, I came across the Polar Bear exhibit. As I stood by and watched, one of the bears would walk in the water (this was early October so it was a little chilly) and he would fall backwards into the water and float across the water. When he reached the other side, he would walk back to the other side of the exhibit and fall backwards again and float across the water. He did this countless times. Not sure if he was bored or if he just really enjoyed floating on the water. I did like how the long fur would sway in the water. Youtube has a few good videos of Polar Bears swimming underwater and you can just watch how their fur moves with the current. It is fascinating to know Polar Bears can swim up to 100 miles in one go. Crazy little mudkips.

Sketch Blog #13
Since my last update, I been very busy with life after college. I been mostly working and finding time for myself, which happens much too often than I would like. But right now, I am trying to heal a heartache, which is the hardest thing to fix since it is emotional pain. Wounds can heal, not all emotional ones can. But with that being said, I am trying to find time to sketch, to keep my practice going. This blog entry is going to be dedicated to a bunch of different sketches I created while at work under 5 minutes each. This was going to be a series I was going to do but because it interfered with work and my supervisor approaching me, I no longer can draw sketches at work. No big deal. I need the job so sacrifices need to be made.

Sick
To my surprise, I figured that since school was over and done, I would be less tired and more energetic. wrong! I been very tired, not to mention I even got sick this week with a sore throat and nasal congestion. Looking for a job to just start paying bills, I have had no success thus far. I feel like a rather pathetic college graduate, living with my adopted parents with no job but I did just graduate so I guess I can give myself a little bit more credit than I am.
Sometimes I just feel like I don't draw or sketch enough in a day. I soak up and save images day in and day out but I don't draw as much as I feel I want to. I have no real reason except from my own lazyness and worry of everyday issues. Fear. It's always stopping someone from something and sometimes it's a valid reason. My reason is not valid. I do not approve of my own mentality. That should be my New Years resolution but how many people say "My New Year's resolution is to change my mentality"? I would be the first that I know of but it's not a bad idea.

Sketch Blog #11
For my senior portfolio class, I have to come up with three new pieces just for this class. I decided to go with what I would love as a career, animal character design. I choose a Sun Parakeet and just worked with shapes. Gosh I had a lot of fun with this!

Sketch Blog #10
With an exciting event that took place last December that left me with no car, I finally had received a new car which was donated to my home church in Michigan. After a couple day's of adoring it in the driveway, I finally took it out to get it looked at, the day before I was suppose to drive 6 hours to college. I forst stopped at an oil change place to get things checked under the hood. Things were alright except my brake fluid was brownish red, not yellowish white. :p So it was old and something was leaking but I was fine for now with what little money I have. I then drive across the main road to Discount tire to get my winter tires put on. I HAD A 2 HOUR WAIT! As I sat there waiting, I decided to take out my pen and sketch pad and draw. The below image is what I drew. The old man was there when I arrived. He came with a friend, waiting for their car. About 15 minutes later, the elder women arrived, sitting 2 seats away from the old man. After about an hour, the younger man came in and say 2 seat's down from the older lady. The old man was gone by then. It was just interesting to see how people sat down and what they did to pass the time. The older man just sat there, staring at nothing in particular. The older women was doing a crossword puzzle or Sudaku while the younger man was on his cell phone, slouched, looking like a sparkly vampire! :D
